Silversea’s Guests Enjoy Exclusive Experience For A Prime View Of Monaco’s Grand Prix 2019

(Monaco – May 29, 2019) Held at the prestigious Princess Grace Dance Academy, Silversea’s guests enjoyed a bespoke two-day experience for the Monaco Grand Prix 2019. On May 25 and 26, attending guests witnessed the action unfold with a prime view. The exclusive event - which was offered as an optional shore experience to guests aboard Silver Shadow - included a Mediterranean lunch and a range of remarkable enrichments, and showcased the Principality of Monaco at its very best.

Silversea’s guests were able to relax in the gardens and on the terraces of the villa, while sipping champagne, listening to live music, and admiring motorsports-inspired artwork; sample local cuisine from a buffet; and witness the race from the top floor of the venue, before and after enjoying canapés and a lunch. Health and beauty treatments were also on offer for guests, including massages, nail treatments, 3D body photography, and other amenities. Taking guests closer to the action, a racing simulator enabled guests to compete virtually on the streets of Monaco. Guests also had the opportunity to meet former racing driver, Felipe Massa, who was in attendance at the venue on Sunday.

“Silversea has made this an unforgettable experience,” says an attending guest. “The whole experience has been fantastic and the view of the race has been phenomenal. We’ve visited Monaco in the past but experiencing the race with Silversea has been very special. We’ve travelled with Silversea a lot but this has far exceeded our expectations.”

“There is no occasion quite like Monaco’s Grand Prix; the atmosphere is incredible,” says Adria Bono, Silversea’s Senior Director Destination Experiences. “By hosting this one-of-a-kind experience, we are enabling our guests to enjoy this unique sporting event - which is known worldwide - from a privileged venue, to travel deeper into the destination.”

“Welcoming our guests to such an exclusive venue for one of the world’s most incredible sporting occasions exemplifies the quality of experiences on offer with Silversea,” says Peter Shanks, Silversea’s Managing Director for UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa, who was in attendance. “This four-story villa overlooking the track is the perfect venue from which our valued guests can enjoy the race. They have dined on fine, local cuisine and socialised with likeminded travellers, while enjoying a prime view of the action. This is a unique experience indeed and the feedback from our guests has been fantastic. We are already looking forward to hosting next year’s experience for the Monaco Grand Prix 2020!”
